The Tanzania Community Association in Northern Alberta (TANA) is a vibrant group of Tanzanians and friends of Tanzania who call Alberta home. Our mission To build the Tanzanian community of Northern Alberta through the
following areas: our heritage including the Kiswahili language, as well as through the educational, business and social interests of its members.

how to become a member
Who can join?
Anyone 18 years or older with a connection to Tanzania (by birth, ancestry, marriage, or naturalization) and living in northern Alberta.
Membership fee:
$50 per year.
How to pay:
Send an e‑transfer of $50 to [email protected].
Registration:
Along with your payment, provide your full name and contact information so we can register you officially.
Your rights as a member:

- Tender for services in association
- Run for leadership positions

Important note:
Membership is for individuals only (not families or groups). If you move outside northern Alberta, you can still keep your membership as long as you continue paying your annual dues.
